Robert Ball

White male, born about 1872 in Escambia County [presumably FL]. Died 24 June 1932 at the Escambia County Poor Farm at the age of 60. Cause of death: Myocarditis; probable malignancy liver; abdominal ascites, anemia. Informant on death certificate was J.W. Kelly, Superintendent of the Poor Farm. Occupation: None. All information regarding parents was marked “Don’t Know.” The death certificate indicated he had lived in the area all of his life. He was buried in the Escambia County Poor Farm cemetery.

Research has produced few results; for someone who spent sixty years in Escambia County, there is zero mention of him until his death. It is possible his name is actually Robert Bell – a name which appears much more plentifully in records of the time – but without any other information to verify his identity, that is only conjecture.
