Bill of Sale: 8 January 1824 – Don Tomas, Sr. passed away in 1819; Lysa was sold by the Executor of his estate, his son, Tomas Commyns, Jr., to Francisco Commyns (also a son of Tomas, Sr.). Lysa was described as being 22 years old; she was sold along with an 11-year-old enslaved girl named Juana for $610. (Escambia Co. [FL] Deed A/518)
Bill of Sale: 1 June 1827 – Francisco Commyns sold Lysa back to Thomas Commyns, Jr. for $475. She was again described as being 22 years old, despite the passage of 3 years. (Escambia Co. [FL] Deed A/519)
Bill of Sale: 27 October 1830 – Thomas Commyns, Jr. sold Lysa to Jacques Sorbies for $300. She was described as being about 25 years old. (Escambia Co. [FL] Deed B/298)
