Infant daughter of Buster Brenson and Wife

Black female, born prematurely at 4:00 a.m. on 12 September 1927, died at 11:00 a.m. the same day. The father was Buster Brenson, born Brewton, AL; the mother was Tempie Stewart of Ariton [spelled “Erington”], AL. The place of death was 633 E. Aragon St., Pensacola, FL. There was no physician. The infant girl was buried by T.M. Lloyd at the Escambia County Poor Farm Cemetery.

My search for Buster Brenson turned up close to nothing, even after accounting for variations in spelling (Benson, Brinson, Brunson, Branson, etc.). It is possible that “Buster” was a nickname and that he never appeared in any kind of official records under it. The only possibility for a man who might be the father of this child is a Buster Brunson who appeared in two Baldwin County, Alabama records: a convict record from 9 September 1931, and a marriage record to Willie Mae Ankton (probably Angton) from 14 May 1933. As of yet, there is no way to confirm this is the same man.

The search for Tempie Stewart was more fruitful, see the link to her entry below.
