Appears in Dorothy’s 1828 will among the property bequeathed to Dorothy’s grandson, Robert Watkins Walton. The bequest includes her mother, Charlotte, and her five siblings.

Dorothy named her son, Florida Territorial Governor George Walton, Jr., and her friend, John H. Walker of Alabama, as guardians of her grandchildren and their inherited property.
