Lt. Cirilo Josef Le Sassier was the commander of the Spanish garrison at Fort San Marcos de Apalache. He gave his wife, who lived in Pensacola, a power of attorney dated 24 April 1821. (Escambia Co. [FL] Deeds, A/146)

Bill of Sale: 28 Janaury 1824 – Gertrudis Sierra y Le Sassier, under the 1821 power of attorney given her by her husband, sold Frederick to Jose Noriega for $800. At that time, his age was estimated to be about 28 years old. (Escambia Co. [FL] Deeds, A/150)
