Juan Bautista Innerarity*

An enslaved boy of color in the household of John Innerarity.

Born 30 September 1818. Race is not recorded.

Baptized on 30 January 1819 by Father James Coleman at St. Michael’s Parish (Spanish Pensacola). Mother was Maria Isabel, a negra woman enslaved in the same household. Father was listed as unknown in baptismal record (this usually meant the father was unwilling or unable to acknowledge the child).
