Florencio Innerarity*

An enslaved boy of color in the household of John Innerarity.

Born around 1815. Race is not recorded.

Baptized on 29 June 1819 by Father James Coleman at St. Michael’s Parish (Spanish Pensacola). At that time, he was estimated to be about 4 years old. Mother was Menti, a negra woman enslaved in the same household. Father was listed as unknown in baptismal record (this usually meant the father was unwilling or unable to acknowledge the child).
