Infant daughter of Minnie Lee Bells

Black female, stillborn on 18 May 1936 in Pensacola, FL. Address of residence and place of death was 303 E. Fisher Street. Mother, Minnie Lee Bells, was the informant; her place of birth was Jackson, MS. The father’s name and birthplace was unknown, though there may have been reasons other than mere ignorance for not revealing the father. The child was buried in the Escambia County Poor Farm cemetery.

Research on Minnie Lee has begun but been thwarted by the surprising number of women in the area named Minnie Lee Bells or Bell that might fit the bill. I have not yet found one of them I can positively identify as the mother of this child. Research continues.
