Black female, stillborn on 14 April 1932 in Pensacola, FL. Mother was Charlie Bell Beard, born in Pensacola; father was Loren Leach, born in Illinois. Official cause of death was premature birth. Place of death was 421 N. Davis Street, Pensacola. The informant on the death certificate was Alberta McGee, Pensacola. The child was buried in the Escambia County Poor Farm.
The N. Davis St. residence must have been rented, as the owners listed in the 1931 City Directory are of no obvious relationship to Charlie Bell. Cursory research seems to show Alberta McGee to have been her sister. There are no records that I can find that show Loren Leech and Charlie Bell Beard in the same household, so their relationship was likely brief and unofficial. Charlie Bell Beard had another stillborn daughter on 11 July 1931; the father of this child was Charley McKinley. (The infant was buried in Zion Cemetery.)
