Infant Son of Pearl Anthony

White male, stillborn at noon on 4 August 1927 at Pensacola Hospital in Pensacola, FL. The child’s mother was Pearl Anthony, born in Skinnerton, AL but a resident of Atmore, AL at the time. She was also the informant on the death certificate; the father is not mentioned. William D. Nobles signed as the physician. The child was buried in the Escambia County Poor Farm cemetery on 6 August by T.M. Lloyd.

The most likely candidate for this child’s mother is Pearl M. Anthony, enumerated in the 1910 census of Conecuh County, Alabama in the household of John M. Anthony. The death record of this Pearl Anthony indicates she was born 13 November 1905. She appeared in the Mobile City Directory for 1928, 1929, and 1930 – the last two years she was living with her sister, Daisy. She married Joseph J. Nevitte and died 23 August 1972 in Mobile, AL.
